Bespoke agile courses

Just as the needs of your customers will be unique to them, so too are the needs of your digital delivery teams. Using our bespoke agile course service we work with you to design the best learning solution for you and your teams. Together we will determine the agile topics to cover, choose appropriate training delivery approaches and plan any agile coaching to help your teams use what they’ve learned from the training.

Agile courses

We run each of our standard agile courses four times a year and we deliver some based on demand as well. Most are provided online and face-to-face.

What’s special about our courses?

We design and build our courses for you - our courses are your courses.  We'll bust the myths, explain the theory, perhaps pose a challenge.  We'll show you some videos, run some group exercises, maybe play some games.  We'll ask you questions, we'll prompt discussions, we'll ask you to bring your experiences to the group - that's how we make it real.

Being agile is about people - people working together, so that's what we'll get you doing too.  Nothing false or forced.  You will learn to be agile, simply by being agile.

Our trainers and coaches are friendly, approachable and skilled at facilitation.  They will ensure that you get the most out of the course and more likely than not, have some fun along the way.

We offer most of our standard public courses, as either in-person or fully remote (online), but there are some that we only offer as face-to-face as we feel that the detail of the topics requires face-to-face engagement.

Running courses face-to-face allows us to demonstrate many of the topics we cover using a variety of activities, workshops and games.

Our face-to-face courses are normally run in Sheffield or London, but we do sometimes run our courses in other locations if it suits all of the course delegates - just let us know your preference.

Our remote (online) courses cover the same topics as our face-to-face courses.  We have adapted some of the activities so that we can deliver them remotely.

Our online course have shorter lessons and activities and are slightly more directed than when we run them face-to-face.  We've also found that online learning tends to be much more intensive so we build in more, shorter breakout slots.

We limit the number of people on all of our courses to a maximum of 12 people.

About us

At the heart of what we do is a passion to help teams and organisations work better to deliver value to users.

We believe that when people work together as an effective team, they build the best, most innovative solutions, that deliver the greatest value possible to users.

We also believe that great products and services need to continuously improve to meet the ever changing needs of users. So delivery teams need to continuously improve too.

We design all our services - our training courses, our coaching and consultancy services with the same passion and ethos of delivering value to our customers.

Our values

We align our ways of working and those we train and coach to the values of the agile manifesto.

We believe that there are four basic concepts that enable a delivery culture that aligns with the values of the agile manifesto.

  • The best services and products are created by focusing on users needs. We ensure that teams have good User Centred Design (UCD) knowledge and skills to understand their users needs, design the best solutions and provide direction and alignment for their teams.

  • Having a common purpose helps motivate teams but they also need to work an an environment where they are empowered and autonomous. So we help leaders understand what they need to do to lead their teams effectively, and we help teams understand how being empowered and autonomous gives them the room to be innovative and productive.

  • Reducing waste in how we work not only drives efficiencies but continuously focuses teams on what’s most important and in turn, continuously delivers value to users. In all our training courses and coaching services we help teams understand how to be lean.

  • Underpinning the approach to continuous improvement, of being in-tune with users changing needs, and continuously improving teams and organisational ways of working is an iterative approach to delivery. We ensure digital delivery teams understand different iterative approaches, and how best to implement an iterative delivery approach that suits their team and organisation.
